Something about Erykah Badu gives me the feeling that she matured without being bogged down by details of becoming an adult. She seems to dress according to that day's aspiration and doesn't care who likes it. She makes nine-minute songs because the standard four minutes is too commercial for the self -proclaimed "analog girl in a digital world." There's probably no better example of Ms. Badu's inner child at play than her latest video “Out My Mind, Just In Time” (Movement One.) The song, from her New AmErykah Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh, is a hypnotic love letter to which Erykah decides to deliver us one helluva interpretive dance. Watch the video after the jump!
