3 | The Bronx Academy of Letters
The Bronx Academy of Letters was founded in 2003 with an emphasis on the language arts. Principal Anna Hall said the school came about at a time when New York City was looking for more options in education. “The basic premise was if you can write well and understand language then you have a core foundational skill that will make you successful in life,” she said. That idea would become the Bronx Academy of Letters.
