Herman Cain paints grim picture of America in SOTU

Herman Cain responded to President Barack Obama's State of the Union speech on behalf of the Tea Party Express Tuesday night, saying "We the people are coming." The Georgia businessman went on to characterize the president's address as a "hodgepodge" of little ideas before answering questions from the crowd at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. 

 Streamed online, Cain's response was nearly twice the length originally planned and followed the official Republican response by Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels. Many of its themes matched Cain's performances in the GOP primary debates. He criticized what he called an "elitist" political and media culture, the Affordable Care Act, and government spending.
